Consumer Reports
34,000 readers of Consumer Reports were asked about their alternative medicine results. The conclusions of this 2004 survey were published in their August 2005 issue. While people preferred medical treatment for many problems; the notable exception was what people feel about chiropractic care. People rated chiropractic to be far superior to conventional medicine in the treatment of low back pain:
"Chiropractic ranked ahead of all conventional treatments,
including prescription drugs, by readers with low back pain."
Within this report, related to the fast-growing alternative health care movement, it found that "alternative medicine has come of age". In addition readers said chiropractic also provided relief for neck pain.
