A: Many patients start feeling improvement by the second week of treatment.
Q: Are there any side effects to the treatments?
A: Most patients do not experience any adverse side effects from undergoing CSD therapy. Occasionally, a few patients experience muscle spasm for a limited time.
Q: Are any drugs used in the treatment?
A: Medical clinics that utilize CSD therapy sometimes use anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants. We don't typically use medications. If it is your preference, as a service to you, we will contact your personal physician to request a short course of prescription medications. If you do not have a physician, we can arrange for a medical referral to either an occupational health care specialist or an orthopedist.
Q: How long does it take to complete the treatment?
A: Each CSD treatment session lasts approximately 25 minutes. A complete program typically involves 20 sessions over a course of 35-60 days. We usually begin with 6 sessions over a 2 week period and evaluate for effectiveness of care and need for continued treatment during that time.
Q: How successful is CSD therapy?
A: CSD therapy has undergone clinical testing and has achieved good success rates. To date, many patients have successfully been treated with CSD therapy in chiropractic as well as medical settings.
Q: Do I have a better chance for success if I'm treated in your office?
A: We think so. As certified rehabilitation specialists we feel we bring more to the table.
Q: Does CSD therapy involve surgery or injections?
A: No. CSD therapy is completely non-invasive. It is non-surgical and doesn't involve injections.
Q: How long have you had CSD therapy in your office?
A: We began researching CSD in early 2003. We brought this technology into our office later that year. Over the past few years we have been impressed with the results we have seen with our patients. We are now confident of it's usefulness. Our experience has played a big part in our publishing this website.
